Hey everyone!
I want to share my experience at the Atomic Beauty MedSpa when I got a dermaplaining treatment and a hydrafacial.
I was visiting my sister in Dallas. She happens to work at a plastic surgeon/medspa. And I had been wanting to try the hydrafacial for a while. So when I got to Dallas we went to her work and the most wonderful esthetician answered so many of my questions. Here are some of the things I asked prior to the hydrafacial and dermaplaining treatments.
What does a hydrafacial help?
A Hydrafacial cleanses the skin, locks in moisturizer and nourishes with vitamins. It also improves blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles, loose or lax facial skin, brown spots and other forms of sun damage, acne, and irregular skin tone and texture.
Does the facial hurt?
No not at all. Afterwards, I wanted another one because it was really relaxing. It's just suction on your face.
Can I wear makeup on the same day?
Yes, wait 3-4 hours before applying any makeup. Do not exfoliate or go in the sun for at least 3 days.
Will my face be red all day?
Depends on your skin and the way your skin reacts. Mine was only red for like 30 minutes.
What is dermaplaining?
It is a exfoliating procedure to remove dead skin and peach fuzz on your face. It is done with a surgical scalpel.
Does dermaplaining hurt?
Nope, it actually tickles.
Will my hair grow back thicker and faster after the dermaplaining procedure?
No, this is a myth. The hair will grow back just like it was before.
After she did the dermaplaining procedure, my skin was so soft! The facial itself was awesome, my skin was GLOW-ING! My makeup went on sooooo smoothe later that day! It looked amazing!
If you are unsure about getting either of these treatment definitely ask questions! I would 100% recommend it!
If you're in the Dallas area you should visit Atomic Beauty and ask for Rahtry! She was amazing!! They are also the official Med Spa for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders! (I mean that's pretty sweeettt!)
Below are some before and after pictures and a few videos of the procedures! I got the dermaplaining procedure first then the hydrafacial.
